Use a bland bath oil such as Oiltrum and a product made for vaginal dryness. This and other side effects should lessen as your treatment continues, as your body gets used to Accutane. Side effects should clear within 5 weeks of stopping treatment. I have been off accutane for almost 3 years and there is no oil ever on the surface of my skin. Pre- accutane , my skin was extremely oily.
I know you say the oil glands slowly come back, but they haven't comeback at all in 3 years. Two questions About a year after taking accutane when I go to the sun my face does not tan evenily im left with whiter patches on each side of my face and I no have excema arounf the eyes and on my cheeks in which I never had before taking accutane and last but not least I have terrible boughts of anxiety that started mabey a year after Accutane are all of these health problems related to Accutane if they are I do not want to go back on Accutane in case these health problems get worst Thank you.
Not sure which vitamins were causing it but it was amazing! And now I have gone on accutane I still take fish oil but I have stopped the others in fear that it will affect the drug some way. I have noticed my vagina has changed since being on it. I am on a low dose and have only been on it for 6 weeks, I do still get wet and I can orgasm but it is like my responses are delayed and I get wet so much later than I should.
I am scared this is just gonna get worse as I continue to take it. My problem is that I have SEVERE oily skin, so bad that only after 30 mins of washing my face it becomes covered in a thick laryer of oil which causes extreme shinyness and wetness.
With accutane , and other acne products, there is a possibility your acne may worsen for the first two weeks because unseen pimples under the skin are forced to the surface. Accutane commonly results in a long term remission from acne.
This is because it shrinks the oil glands which cause spots. The oil glands return to their previous size very slowly by which time you are likely to have out grown acne.
It is genetic on my husband's side of the familly. Sadly, it's beginning to change his personality. He was once a very active, social, confident kid but he's losing his self esteem. In the last 2 weeks we have radically changed his eating habits. As for the Accutane, yes I took the recommended dosage.
I took Accutane once when I was 19 and once when I was Accutane scarred my face pretty badly and made my liver very sensitive, so I'd like to try something less invasive like vitamins or a natural product.
Use a good moisturiser if you are troubled by dry skin whilst on Accutane. I have taken two courses of Accutane and have not developed wrinkles prematurely. Please see my pictures in my profile I am They say that all the pain and problems that I have are from depression. I feel like being in pain everyday has caused me to be depressed. It sounds like the skin flora has been altered and maybe you have yeast overgrowth.
Is there any way to stop the Accutane and use neem soap and other less drying treatments? You may also need Lotrimin cream if it is a yeast overgrowth. I understand that acne can be a huge problem. I was prescribed a low dose of tetracyline which helped a little bit but since that is an antibiotic it would only have been treating any infection that established itself in the malfunctioning glands. After I had been taking the flaxseed oil for a couple of months I stopped the antibiotic and had no further problems.
If you're taking antibiotics ask your doctor if you should eat yogurt or some other probiotic product as some antibiotics destroy the good bacteria in your gut, which leads to all sorts of other problems. Buying it, as I now do, at the grocery store is far more economical than buying it at the health food outlet or a chemist or drugstore. It is by volume far more economical than the capsules.
I've never heard of a powder form of flaxseed. It's a good explanation of the difference between the food product and the wood-nourishing product, and why it is called 'flax' in some parts of the words and 'linseed' in others.
It also clarifies why some brands taste bitter and some taste mild, and why the milder tasting oil is the better quality. I do hope you get relief from MGD, too. Let us know, please, after a week or so, how it's working for you. See All Buying Options. This page works best with JavaScript.

It covers a wide range of possible causes, dispels a few misunderstandings and explains the subtle differences between the many conditions lumped together under the heading of MGD. I think I discovered why the flaxseed oil is probably working for me. Since I became allergic to seafood, all of it it seems, I've avoided this major source of Omega 3's.
The flaxseed seems to have provided the remedy I needed. I have to say the taste is fine - nutty but smooth and not too sickly. Way too early to tell if it's doing my eyes any good but I'll report back in a few weeks either way.
I wonder if it would do any good on the eyelids - but that feels like a whole new thread! I don't think flaxseed oil should taste that bad, perhaps it isn't a very good grade of oil? We use GranoVita cold-pressed linseed oil, it tastes very nice drizzled onto muffins or toast. I think they are a German company, so perhaps it might be available in Norway, Redandsensitiv? I'm cautiously starting with Flax oil again as I think it may have helped my eyes when I took it last time.
